We coordinate a one-on-one visit at your home. No shelter visit, no crowds — just your family, your potential dog, and our coordinator.
Prefer to skip the meeting and go straight to adoption? We can deliver directly to your door at no extra charge.
There is absolutely no application fee and no deposit to hold your spot. The only payment is the adoption fee — only after you've met the dog and decided to move forward.
Preferred Adopter families receive early notification of incoming dogs — before they appear on our public listings.
Some of our most sought-after dogs are never listed publicly. Preferred Adopters have access to our private collection at /adoptions/preferred.
A dedicated team member personally handles your placement from first contact to the day your dog arrives home — and stays available for 30 days after.
Common Questions
Is there any fee or deposit to apply?
None — absolutely zero. No application fee, no hold deposit, no surprise charges. The only payment is the adoption fee, and that happens only after you meet the dog, love them, and choose to adopt. No pressure, ever.
What makes this different from a regular adoption?
Preferred Adopters get a private, one-on-one home meeting — we come to you. You also get early access to dogs before they go public, plus access to our private listings that never appear on the main adoption page.
Do you really come to my home — at no extra cost?
Yes. We coordinate transport directly to your home or arrange a private meeting at your location. No travel required on your part, and no extra fees for this service.
How long does approval take?
Most applications are reviewed within 1–2 business days. Once approved, you'll hear from us personally to discuss your preferences and available dogs.
Can I still foster first before committing?
Absolutely — Preferred Adopters can also choose foster-to-adopt. Many of our families start as fosters and fall in love within the first week.
